This Enviro EF3 pellet insert would be a great way to change an open fireplace to a very effective heating source. It will hold about 30 pounds of pellet fuel and the BTU rating is up to 40K. The self-igniter works so it’s easy to turn on and off. Unit price is $800, but installation is extra.
